How are transfer credits evaluated?

如果你 have transfer credits, it is recommended that you have your credits evaluated 通过请求 信用评估(PDF).  你也可以用 当量图(PDF) 作为指导.

The program starts every spring quarter and takes 2 years to complete. 的放射 Technology application will be available in the fall, starting September 1st and will close November 6th. 

To be eligible for admission consideration, the applicant must: 

• Have a current 皇冠8868会员登录 Valley College (WVC) application on file. 

• Currently enrolled students do not need to reapply, students that have not attended for one or more quarters will need to 更新他们的信息.

• Have completed all prerequisites with a C (2.5)以上. 
• Send official transcripts from every college you have attended (excluding WVC) directly 对WVC. Do not submit official transcripts with the application. 

How are applications evaluated? 
The WVC 放射技术 program uses a point system (77 total points) when selecting and evaluating applications for admission. Applicants with more points are more likely to be selected for the program. The categories and their associated points are listed 下面.

• 8-hour Observation in an imaging department - 10 possible points 
• RADT Attend 会话信息 and Quiz - 5 possible points
• 入学 Essay - 10 possible points 
• 3 Letters of Recommendation - 15 possible points

What do I need to complete if I am accepted? 
All applicants will be notified via email at the beginning of January for interview 调度. Applicants will receive acceptance letters by the end of January. 如果你 are accepted to the 放射技术 program, you must complete all the immunization and other requirements found 在这里 在本页(PDF) as well as all items listed in the acceptance packet. 你也应该做好准备 to pay a $50, non-refundable, acceptance fee. 

Additionally, all students accepted to the 放射技术 program must plan to attend orientation in March. Tentatively Planned for the first Friday in March.

All applicants are required to schedule an observation in a diagnostic imaging department and submit the observation form with their application. More information can be found 在这里 Observation Scheduling and forms.

What else should I know before applying to the 放射技术 program? 

• Acceptance 对WVC does not guarantee acceptance to the 放射技术 program.
